In March of 2014, the Foundation began a capitol campaign to raise money to finalize the purchase of the 12 acre parcel off of Sawmill Way, on the backside of the Idaho Shakespeare Festival. This land will be protected and restored to a viable open space to be used by all of Treasure Valley as well as becoming a new addition to the 700+ acres of the Barber Pool Conservation Area. By donating to the campaign, you can help make the land next to Idaho Shakespeare Festival amphitheater beautiful for generations to come.
The Barber Pool is one of the largest blocks of superior undeveloped riparian habitat remaining for wildlife along the Boise River. Prime habitat combined with isolation from disturbance creates an oasis for wildlife. Over 200 wildlife species flourish in the Barber Pool.
