The Harris Family Limited Partnership provided a conservation easement on a 10-acre strip of land along the Boise River between Eckert Road and Barber Dam to the Idaho Foundation for Parks and Lands.  The 10 acres, directly south of the Mill District of Harris Ranch, is maintained in a close-to-natural state with the exception of a gravel path meandering through the mile-long length of the easement.  The path is named in honor of Harris family patriarch Dallas Harris. The land lies between the Boise River and another conservation easement — a five-acre strip of land that contains Alta Harris Creek, named after the Harris family matriarch.
